Choose a PLM That’s Fit for the Future

With the increasing number of manufacturers now making smart and connected products, the data collected from these products also needs to be increased. Gone are the days when PDM data only consisted of a few sketches and CAD Drawings. Today’s complex products required data that goes beyond the part list and includes mechanical and electronic data and even software components.

Basic PDM systems were not created to handle a large variety of product configurations and parts. They are unable to expand their software capabilities and are limited to the amount and type of data they collect. They typically do not include a cloud PDM solution, and are unable to meet the growing need of manufacturers and do not support a multi-CAD environment.
